A lot of women are taking great relief in knowing that there are alternatives to surgery available for breast augmentation. However, the wide variety of choices available can make deciding which method to use difficult. There are physical methods, like suction and pump devices that work by applying physical pressure on the breast, and there are supplements that come as either pills, serums, creams, and even a chewing gum.
Here are a few points to consider as you review your choices:
For suction and pump devices
- Suction and pump devices have been shown to be very successful in helping women increase their breast size by as much as one cup (and in some cases, two), however; these devices are also known to be very expensive, and in some cases cost prohibitive for some women.
- These devices are not discreet at all. In fact, some women have said that they are cumbersome and keeping to the regimen requires tremendous effort. In addition, like any other piece of equipment, these devices require regular maintenance for continued operation.
- The piece that attaches to your breast (called a ‘dome') does not last long, and may need to be replaced before you've successfully increased your size; and women have reported skin irritation and discomfort when using the dome.
For herbal supplements
- Supplements are available in a variety of forms, such as gums, pills, and topical like creams and gels. These tend to be far less expensive than suction and pump devices, and can be more easily incorporated into your normal daily routine.
- Check the ingredients and make sure that there's nothing that might be hazardous to your body. Typical ingredients in herbal based supplements include: Saw Palmetto, Fennel Seed, Mexican Wild Yam Rood, Oat Grass, Blessed Thistle herb, Hops Flower and L-Tyrosene. These ingredients are thought to enhance breast growth due to their estrogen like properties. However, some of these ingredients can set off allergies for certain people.
- Look for products that can provide some sort of backing for their claims. Third party reviews from watchdog sites can be extremely valuable. Also check their websites for user reviews.
- Find out if the results you get are permanent, or if they'll go away once you stop using the product. Also find out what you'll have to do to ensure that your breasts stay healthy after your supplement regimen.
